Chapter 01
Poison
is chemicals that can kill you slowly. Your heart will beat fast, your
breath gets heavier, your chest feels cramped, you can not think of anything
else just a very severe pain. You feel on the verge of death.
Prison...
a terrible place where everything you have is taken away from you. Freedom,
family, friends, even your place to go home disappear.
Love
is a double-edged sword. Love can be the most beautiful gift but it can also be
poison and prison when you choose wrong. You will feel tortured, restrained and
you will think death is the only way out.
"Hey
Lilly, big news. look!" The short-haired girl pulled up a chair and sat in
front of her friend while handing over a teen magazine. Lilly who had been
drowning in the storybook looked at her.
"Good
morning, Emma?" She smile.
"Morning…
Look! Jenny is debuting as a model…"
"Looks
good. She’s pretty…" Lilly just stared at the photo in the magazine
without expression and went back to reading the book
“Really…???”
Emma stared at Lilly with an unbelieving face "Aren’t you upset?"
“Hhhh...
" Lilly sighed "Of course I'm pissed, I'm angry. Then what's the
point? Nothing will change. It will only bother me…"
"Yeah,
sorry Lil, but I can’t accept this, I feel like punch her in the face..." Emma
pissed and squeezed a magazine page that featured a picture of Jenny. "We know
she's using sneaky ways to win"
Emma's
words like ringing a bell on Lilly's head reminded her of what happened a month
ago where she'd participated in a selection event to become her favorite brand
name advertising model. Rainbow is one of the popular brand of clothing, has
good qualities and cool designs in accordance with the style of young people.
Lilly decided to take part in Rainbow's "What's your style?". The
winner will get some cash and will be the exclusive model of the Rainbow brand
for 1 year. Lilly is so eager to prepare herself, starting with learning make
up, practice for walking on the catwalk, exercising and doing a healthy diet to
keep her body.
The first day of auditions Lilly met with Jennifer, her
classmates. She was not surprised because she realized Rainbow had a lot of
fans, and did not rule out there are people she knows also participate in this
event.
Jenny
McQueen, a classmate who's a year older. Beautiful, fashionable, the center of
attention, many male fans (slave 😑), Average academic grades, sometimes likes
skipping lessons to go shopping or spending time in the cafe with her gang,
gossiping, drama queen and 50% girls at school don’t like her. Her father is a
doctor, her mother is a lecturer and has a brother who is studying abroad. Jenny
likes to bully junior or classmate who looks weak. But no one dared to stop her.
No one dared to report Jenny to the teachers. Because in the eyes of the
teachers, Jenny is a sweet model student. Yes, Jenny becomes a sweet girl in front
of the teachers.
While Lillyana Zhao is part of the opposite of Jenny. She is
beautiful, simple, fashionable, smart, kinda cool, don’t like to interfere with
people’s affair, Has lots of fans even though she is not aware of it herself.
Teachers like her because she is diligent. But she prefers not to stand out and
prefer to blend in the classroom. Also she prefer not to involve with Jenny’s
affair. Lilly is the only one
The
first day of the audition went smoothly, Lilly managed to answer all the questions
asked by the judges. The second day, the participants were challenged to create
a "Thrilling first dating" image using Rainbow's collection
Lilly
passed the 3rd day selection with rank 142 while Jenny was ranked
147.
Day
4th, strange things started happening, make-up, accessories and
clothes that Lilly would wear began to disappear one by one. But Lilly's
persistence did not disrupt her, ideas sprang up so she could overcome all the
obstacles.
Day
6th the judges announces the participants who will go to the grand-final. Anna got the 1st
rank. Lilly is 2nd rank, while Jenny is 3rd rank. Both Anna and Jenny are not
happy with the results. Jenny swear to do anything to bring her rivals down.
